What to do in
Miami
Miami is a major coastal city in America. It is known primarily for its colorful hotels, artistic art galleries and beautiful beaches. We are happy to list for you what there is to do in Miami.
1 Wynwood
Miami’s liveliest neighborhood is Wynwood. Here graffiti and all kinds of other art takes center stage. The best artists exhibit their works of art to the general public here. The streets in Wynwood are decorated with colorful murals including some real gems. It is worthwhile to stroll through here once and stop at the attractive street art. Think of it as one big and mostly free art gallery. In the evening you can also go out or have a nice dinner.
2 Beaches
Miami is of course known for its famous (or infamous) beaches. Think wide beaches with swaying palm trees and brightly colored lifeguard houses. The beachfront hotels have a retro look and feel that makes this place so unique. So without a doubt, one of the most important activities in Miami is lying on the beach. The climate is certainly ideal for it.

3 Ocean Drive
The most famous street in Miami is Ocean Drive. So a day strolling down this world-famous street is not to be missed when staying in Miami. In the evening it gets all cozy when the neon lights come on. You can go here for a snack and a drink. It is also the perfect place to look at others and be seen yourself.
4 Lincoln Road
Miami’s most famous and largest shopping street is Lincoln Road. You will find well-known stores but also beautiful boutiques. A day of shopping on this street is therefore one of the things you should definitely do there. If you don’t like shopping, you can also eat well here or enjoy a drink on a sunny terrace. And at the same time maybe spotting (famous) people.
5 Shopping
Another place where you can shop is Bayside Marketplace. It is a kind of open-air shopping mall on the harbor in Miami. You’ll find well-known stores and lesser-known, local stores. A nice place to be. Furthermore, you can also shop in Miami’s largest mall, called Dolphin Mall. Or at the Aventura Mall.

6 Miami Design District
A place with expensive stores and several art galleries is the Miami Design District. To visit some galleries, you must make a special request or ring the bell before you can enter. It does pay off because behind closed doors you can often find the most beautiful paintings and other art! A fine neighborhood to walk through for a while.
7 Basket in Miami
One of the most important sports in the USA is basketball. In Miami, you can go watch an NBA-worthy basketball team at the local stadium. We ourselves went to watch not a professional basketball game but a baseball game and that experience was tremendously enjoyable. Americans go tremendously hard in this kind of competition and it is worth experiencing. Spectacle and fun guaranteed!
8 Everglades
The Everglades is a national park near Miami. It is best to take a day trip to this swamp. You can spot crocodiles there and it is without a doubt one of the most special nature parks in the USA. Your transport? A swamp boat adapted to navigate this type of terrain. A unique experience!

9 Fort Lauderdale
If you like beaches but don’t like the hustle and bustle of Miami, it’s best to take a day trip to Fort Lauderdale. You have about the same views and beaches as in Miami but a lot less crowded. White beaches, palm trees and drink in hand? Check!
10 The Keys
The Caribbean near Miami are The Keys in Florida. These islands are one of the most popular vacation spots by Americans. Here you no longer imagine yourself in the USA but somewhere on an exotic island. Partly because of its colorful buildings and unique style that you can’t immediately compare to any other place. It is better to stay here for a few days as you will be travelling by car for a while. Furthermore, you will also find Biscayne National Park here.
