SandwiChez is a cozy, modern breakfast and lunch cafe chain. You can go here for breakfast with freshly squeezed fruit juice and croissants, but equally for a healthy lunch. Everything is delicious and easy to take with you!

Foxy Bar is a cozy pub with vintage elements. You’ll find the best (local) beers and gigantic sangrias for little money. You immediately feel the homely atmosphere and you can therefore spend hours there.

4. Ocaña
Ocaña a wonderful restaurant on the beautiful Plaça Reial. It is one of our favorite places in Barcelona. It is both a restaurant and bar and event venue. The restaurant is modernly decorated with unusual and colorful art. The food certainly matched the interior. You can eat tasty tapas and drink exceptionally good homemade lemonade and cocktails. A topper!

5. Villa Emilia
Hotel Villa Emilia has its own bar called Zinc Bar. That’s where you need to be! You can drink great wines and even better desserts. It is a classy store that is stylishly decorated. The staff there is very friendly.

6. La Donutería
La Donutería is a bakery where you can buy fresh and unusual donuts. There are distinctive flavors like pistachio, banana or grapefruit and their menu changes every day. We tried the raspberry donut and it was really delicious! Just be careful not to buy too many (even though they all look super!), because the donuts are nothing like what you’re used to. They are quite heavy on your stomach and with one to two pieces you have really eaten enough.

7. Les Gens Que J’aime
Les Gens Que J’aime is perhaps the most unusual bar on this list. It is a unique bar inspired by burlesque and cabaret where there is a relaxed atmosphere. You imagine yourself back in time for a moment. Aside from the stunning decor, you can drink delicious cocktails there. You may have to search for this place -you get there through a small door that doesn’t stand out among the big buildings- but it’s a must-see!
