Toll roads in Portugal
In Portugal you have excellent highways, only these are usually toll roads. You can try to avoid these, but you will lose more fuel. You can enter the toll roads with a rental car easily because they are equipped with the appropriate electronic trays that automatically scan on the toll road. Super easy! Often you have to let us know in advance if you are going to use these trays and there will be a charge of 1.50 euros per day for the basic cost. But again, this will definitely save you on fuel.
