Castelli Hotel
The Castelli Hotel was founded, and is still operated, by a sympathetic family. Pater familias is still very present in the company and will also greet you personally every day and explain with great passion the various facilities and history of the hotel. Their focus has always been on sustainable business and you can see that in the smallest details. There is an eye for detail and for atmosphere and cosiness they score 10/10. Here you feel yourself coming home (but better!).
The hotel is located in Laganas, which is more known to be a busier resort, but the hotel itself is a few 100 meters away from the coast so you notice absolutely nothing of that hustle and bustle here. This is an oasis of calm and you are also close to a bustling seaside resort and so many other impressive sights, including Cameo Island, Turtle Island, Zakynthos City but also Shipwreck Beach is an ideal day trip from Laganas. Enough to keep you entertained for a week or two.
Experience
Staying at this hotel is not just booking an accommodation, but creating an experience. At Castelli, they like to focus on three experiences: the sleep, food and local experience. These three experiences combined make Castelli the ideal hotel choice for a trip to Zakynthos.
The Sleep Experience guarantees restful rooms with comfortable beds and the relaxing activities. Normally we don’t sleep very well at other locations, but here we slept like a log from the first day. That says a lot about the comfort and luxury of the hotel.
The Food Experience guarantees fresh, quality food. The ingredients are healthy and delicious. They get the produce either from their own vegetable garden or from local farmers. This assures you of sustainably produced food. Also, the olive oil they work with comes from the olive trees they grow themselves and for which the island is famous.
Finally, the Local Experience guarantees activities in the area. A range of activities are offered at the hotel itself, but beyond that you can take cycling or walking tours, rent a boat, go diving or snorkeling or take Greek cooking classes. You will not be bored here.
Facilities
The Castelli Hotel is Adults Only and thus caters to (young) adults. Couples, friends or family, this hotel is suitable for anyone who needs to get away from it all and enjoy top quality, comfort and luxury. The highlight of this hotel for us is the Junior or Senior Suite Swim-up room with private pool. Truly beautiful to see and even nicer to enjoy daily! The ideal honeymoon suite.
Of course, you can also find a communal pool with very comfortable loungers, two bars and various activities including yoga, aqua gym, darts, cooking classes and creative workshops. The restaurant belongs to the all-inclusive formula and offers traditional, fresh dishes daily. Here you will get to know Greek cuisine at its best with local products of excellent quality. The choice to work with local products comes naturally from their ecological thought. The house wine they serve is also from Zakynthos. Here you will taste the best flavors of the island!
Good to know: really everything is done to be Covid-proof. At the buffet, you will wear gloves and mouth mask, and there will be strong enforcement. The hotel only accommodates a limited number of guests anyway, so you’ll never have large gatherings here. Here it is safe and nice to stay.

We had a great time at the Castelli Hotel. The staff was always there for us and greeted us with a smile daily. We enjoyed the impressive room, the delicious food and the beautiful surroundings.
