Citytrip Londen in one day

Citytrip Londen

in one day

Around Christmas, we took a day trip to London. Not only for a vacation or a long city trip is London ideal, but also just for a day of sightseeing and shopping. You don’t have to only take day trips close to home all the time, it can be a little further. So you can visit more and more beautiful cities around the world without having to take a week off. Now find out more about a fun day out to London and how you can make the most of this day if you go too!

Little time, a lot to see

Of course, if you only go to a metropolis like London for one day, you won’t have much time to visit everything. Nevertheless, we saw the most important highlights on this day and that due to good planning beforehand. Think about what you definitely want to see. Make a list of up to 3 attractions. You will certainly be able to see these in one day. All that comes with it is nice.

Getting from Belgium to London is very easy and quick with the Eurostar. This train departs from Brussels and brings you to the heart of London in about two hours. The Eurostar also allows you to travel to other cities such as Amsterdam and Paris. Note: Not every destination can be reached directly from Belgium.

Arriving in London, you immediately notice the hustle and bustle of the city. Going straight ahead is the best thing to do right now if you don’t like hectic situations. It’s helpful if you know you have to go straight to the subway’s vending machines. Without taking the subway, you get almost nowhere in London. Or at least not so fast. And let speed be just what you definitely need if you have only one day of London planned.

Perhaps you have a few highlights of your own that you definitely want to see in London. Your own top 3 list. That’s how we had made this, too. Our top 3 consisted of the London Eye, Covent Garden and Carnaby Street. There are so many fun things to see and do in London, but it’s still better if you make a selection and enjoy it. You can’t stay long anywhere, but London is perfectly equipped for that. You can see certain sights in half an hour and the metro takes you everywhere in a few minutes.

If you only have one day of London planned, we wouldn’t choose to do museums because they take up a lot of time, you sometimes have to queue for a long time, and you also don’t discover the real London by doing so. This is different for everyone, of course, and it is entirely up to you to make up your own day.

Day trip

A day of wandering around London was perfect for us to explore this city. We actually saw even more than was on our schedule. Actually, there is quite a lot of time in one day to do such a distant day trip. It is no doubt exhausting, but several days in London would have been. Needless to say, we are now tickled with the city and would love to go back again. A day trip to London is also a good test of whether this city is for you or not, before you spend several days there.
